Kottayam : The
historic Thirunakkara maidan here which witnessed the
birth of Kerala Congress on October 9, 1964 today saw
the merger of Kerala Congress (Secular) under the
leadership of P C George with Kerala Congress (M) under
the leadership of K M Mani.
Thousands of Kerala Congress (S) activists came in a
processionunder the leadership of Chairman T S John and
leader P C George to the venue of the meeting.
Inaugurating the conference, Mr. K.M. Mani, MLA, said he
was happy to have P C George as the strong spokespersons
for the ideology and working class theory of the Kerala
Congress.
Kerala Congress (M) Chairman C F Thomas announced the
merger.
